How Language Can Turn Negativity Into Positivity

Using Word Magic To Strengthen The Bond With Your Dog

Discover why language and communication may be just as important a tool as training to manage your dog’s behavioral issues in this free workshop by Judy Shevelev & Kajsa van Overbeek.

If you feel upset, doubt yourself, or wish for a better relationship with your dog (or wish your dog would stop doing certain things), a coach can teach you how to think and feel more positively, so you’re better prepared to work with your dog, with a trainer or on your own, to solve the problems you have.

The first step might be as simple as becoming aware of and changing the language you use:

– to talk to and about your dog

– to talk about yourself

In this 90 minute participatory workshop, Judy and Kajsa will help you think about how you can tweak your language, so you can communicate better with yourself and your dog and think more positively.

    Meet Judy

Judy is an accredited positive reinforcement dog trainer and certified personal development coach.

She enjoys adapting her knowledge about canine behavior to people by helping them rewire their brains towards positivity and then break unwanted habits to make room for new ones.  She uses a variety of techniques to help clients ground themselves in the relationship with their pet so they can gain the clarity, direction and resolve they need to move forward towards their heartfelt goals.

Having lived for many years in Mexico and other places in Latin America, Judy is fascinated with language and the way in which people from different cultures communicate. This experience has led her to observing the communication between humans and canines more closely.

She deeply believes that mutual understanding and respect strengthen the bond between people and their pets, and can greatly enrich the lives of both.

She speaks Spanish and English fluently, and works with her dog training and coaching clients in both languages.

    Meet Kajsa

Kajsa is a professional certified mindset- and life coach whose life is all about celebrating a diversity of passions and pursuits.

With her background in aerospace engineering and industrial property, she brings a no-frills, straight-shooter approach to coaching. Her philosophy is that radical self-acceptance is the key. For many of her clients accepting themselves starts with accepting their challenging dog for who they are.

Like Judy, she is fascinated by languages, understanding five, speaking four, and coaching in three (English, Dutch and German), and culture, and their influence on how we perceive ourselves and our relationships with others, human or canine.

She divides her time between The Netherlands and Austria.

    F.A.Q.

    Will there be a replay?

No, this a workshop that requires active participation. It is not a regular webinar, so there will be no replay.

Will there be an opportunity to ask questions?

    Yes, of course.

Any questions are welcome. Judy and Kajsa will stay on for as long as they can at the end of the workshop to answer questions about the content or working with them.

    How long will it last?

We aim for it to be around 90 minutes.

Will I be able to get coached?

Judy and Kajsa aim to each coach at least one participant during the workshop. Not everyone will be able to get coached personally. However, watching someone get coached can often be as impactful or even more impactful as you can absorb the coaching from a different perspective.

The importance of perspective changes happens to be what the workshop is about!

Do I need to bring anything?

Aside from an open mind and curiosity a pen and paper or some other way to jot down a couple of words would be great.
